WHAT WE DO
Our Services
From the first decision to the care that follows, Origin Flooring is involved at every stage of a floor's life. Each service is delivered with the same considered thinking, so that what is specified is matched by how it is laid, finished and maintained.
Design Consultation
Every floor begins with a decision, and the right one is rarely made in isolation. We work alongside architects, designers, builders and homeowners to match material to space, considering light, use, scale and the character a project is reaching for. It is a process of narrowing with purpose, drawing on a deep understanding of how each timber behaves and how it will settle into a space over time. The result is a floor specified with intention, suited not only to the room it sits in but to the way that room is lived in.

Installation
A considered floor deserves a considered fit. Our installation honours both the material and the design it serves, with the precision that engineered timber demands and the care that protects its longevity. From subfloor preparation to the final board, each step is approached methodically, because the quality of a floor is determined as much by how it is laid as by what it is made from. The outcome is a surface that performs as intended and endures as expected.
Maintenance & After Care
A floor is a long-term relationship, and the spaces that endure are the ones that are cared for. Our maintenance protects the character and performance of a floor over the life of a space, with guidance and care suited to the material and the way it is used. It is the quiet final part of a considered approach, ensuring that a floor laid with intention continues to look and perform as it should, year after year.

Parquetry
Few floors carry the architectural weight of parquetry. Whether a traditional herringbone or a contemporary geometric pattern, parquetry asks for craft, patience and an exacting eye, and rewards it with a floor of genuine distinction. We approach each pattern as a defining element of a space, laid with the rigour the technique requires and the understanding that a floor of this kind shapes a room from the ground up.
Sanding & Polishing
Timber holds its character over a long life, and the right finish brings it forward. Our sanding and polishing restores depth, evenness and warmth to a floor, whether reviving an existing surface or finishing a newly laid one. Each floor is finished to suit its setting and its use, with a result that protects the timber and lets its grain speak. It is a discipline of restraint as much as skill, knowing how much to do, and when a floor is right.

Restoration & Reinstatement
A damaged floor is rarely just a surface issue. Water, fire and general wear can compromise a space in ways that go beyond what is visible, and a considered response requires more than a like-for-like patch. Origin Flooring approaches reinstatement with the same rigour applied to any new specification, treating the reinstated floor as an integral part of the space it defines, not an afterthought to a claim.
Where required, we work alongside insurers, loss adjusters and builders to specify a replacement true to the original in species, tone and grain. Our team oversees the process from material sourcing through to installation, ensuring consistency across the finished floor and a standard of work that reflects the same care as the space's original design.
Bespoke
Flooring
Not every vision is met by what already exists, and the right floor is sometimes one that has yet to be made. Where a specific aesthetic sits beyond the range of stock product, we can have a floor manufactured to match it, considering species, format, texture and finish as a single brief rather than a series of separate choices. It is a process that asks for time, with manufacture measured in months rather than weeks, and it rewards a project that knows precisely what it is reaching for. The result is a floor that exists for one space alone, specified from the outset to belong to it.

Yes samples are available, visit our showroom in Busselton or warehouses in Perth to see the complete range and choose a selection of samples to suit your requirements. Design professionals looking for sample libraries are encouraged to reach out directly. Our team can also provide in-home consultations by appointment.
Our engineered timber floorboards come in standard dimensions that we hold in stock locally. We can customise bespoke products to achieve the product you are looking for, with a longer lead time (4-5 months minimum). Please contact us for more information on custom options. Non-timber products such as laminate and hybrid cannot be customised at this stage but we offer several options to help you achieve the look you want.
Consider both design and practical needs. Start by assessing the aesthetic you want to achieve; scandi, rustic, contemporary, coastal etc and choose a colour, grade and finish that complements your style. Additionally, evaluate installation methods and maintenance requirements, as some finishes may need more upkeep than others. Finally, establish a budget to narrow options and request samples to see how different options look in your space before making a final decision.
We hold over 100 products locally and most stocklines are available at short notice, to be picked up in Perth or the South West within 1-2 days. For larger orders, delivery time may vary depending on stock availability (4-6 weeks), and custom orders require a 4-5 month lead time.
